WHAT YOU'LL DO
Every footwear is graded for Absorb, Bounce, and Stability. Submitted grades are weighted based on your running and activity level to keep results consistent, accurate, and fair.
We review all submissions before grades go live.
(1 = firm, 10 = soft)

Do I need to be a seasoned runner?
No. This is open to walkers, joggers, new runners, seasoned runners, and anyone who moves regularly. A mix of movement styles gives our team deeper insight.
Is onboarding the same as grading?
Onboarding is a one-time, two-part training. On day one, you’ll learn how the grading process works. On day two, you’ll do your first round of grading as part of the training.
What happens after onboarding?
Once you complete it, you’ll be added to the grader pool. From there, we’ll invite you to future grading sessions where you can start testing shoes and earning credit.
Do I get credit for attending onboarding?
Once you complete both sessions, you’ll be added to the grader pool. From there, we’ll invite you to official grading sessions, these are the ones where you’ll earn RunAsYouAre credit. You won’t earn credit during onboarding, even though you’ll practice grading on day two.
Where do I grade the shoes?
At the RunReady Studio inside RunAsYouAre at 2033 W 4th Ave, Vancouver, BC.
How long is each grading session?
Each grading session is one hour total. That includes trying on shoes, doing a short test run in-store, and submitting your grades before you leave.
Do I get to keep the shoes I grade?
No. You’re testing pairs from our footwear lineup to help refine the grades for others.
What do I receive in exchange for my participation?
You’ll earn $35 in RunAsYouAre Dollars for each completed session. This isn’t cash, it’s store credit you can use toward a future purchase at RunAsYouAre. Credit will be added to your account within 30 days. Full details are shared during onboarding.
Can I apply again if I’m not selected?
Yes. RunReady opens applications before each new round, and you’re always welcome to reapply.
